Music

On this page I will post music recorded with and by me (on guitar) and my friends.

“SOS – Strings on Speed ”

Teddy and I have decided to call our little duo “Strings on Speed”, and this album will feature the two of us (me on bass, guitars and drum programming and Teddy on banjo).

This is how the final track list looks like:

  • “Guitar Tango” – ag, eg, bass, drums (originally by The Shadows)
  • “Dueling Banjos” – ag, ab (traditional bluegrass)
  • “36-24-36″ – ag, eg, drums, bass (originally by The Shadows)

(ag = acoustic guitar, eg = electric guitar, ab = acoustic banjo)

All downloadable from the list below:

We were also planning on recording “Blackberry Blossom” with my sister on violin, but it will be postponed until the new year since we have decided to add vocals aswell. “Sunset Road” (originally by Belá Fleck and the Flecktones) was in the recording process but was scrapped at the last minute due to illness. Hopefully we’ll be able to put together another album this summer.

“Crossfire in the Stratosphere”

The latest album called “Crossfire in the Stratosphere” (a pun created with the names of me and my friend’s instruments) was recorded and edited in December 2008, and finalized in the morning of December 24th. This time my long time friend and band mate “Teddy” joins me in a “guitar and banjo extravaganza” where we managed to record and edit four tracks. Five tracks were planned, although sadly the recording of “Dueling Banjos” was scrapped due to lack of time in editing and that we weren’t pleased with the timing between the guitar and banjo.

“Soundcheck”

My first “album” was recorded on the 23rd of December 2007 just in time before Christmas. The album was distributed to family and friends for and after the Christmas of 2007, and now I am posting it on this site for all to hear! The album contains of two tracks, the first of which is composed by myself as a prelude to the second track. The second track is originally a part of the soundtrack to a movie called “Rythm and Greens” and is recorded by a 60’s rock instrumental group called “The Shadows”.

Demos

Heres a list of different demos that I have recorded.

  • “The CANJAC Blues” demo – A tune that goes with a song I learned at CANJAC (Canadian Junior Achievement Conference). A blogpost about the demo is available here.
